Hatchback Rampant

At the Ganas Everything Goes CafeOne of the two most likely places to find me is at a Cafe, partiularly one with free wireless access. Actually, Everything Goes Cafe & Bookstore is just to the left, behind the green awning. The other place you're likely to find me is...at the beach, of course! At Cape MayBeach Stones, Cape May

In between trips to the beach and sipping coffee, I've been hanging out in places like this lovely shack in Kentucky. It was built more than 100 years ago, and still has all (or at least most) of its original siding! At Hill & Hollow Farm, Edmonton, KY

The Ohio RiverLooking out on the bridge that spans the junction of Lakes Huron & MichiganAfter staying at farms in North Carolina and Kentucky, I headed north, across the great Ohio River, through Indiana, to my next stop in Michigan. Then it was on, around Lake Huron, and across the UP (that's Upper Penninsula, for those unfamiliar with Michigan), into Wisconsin.

The Mississippi RiverFrom southwest Wisconsin, almost directly south to southeast Minnesota, with a little stop to say "hi/bye" to the Mighty Mississippi River.

Bridge over the Missouri RiverThen, the longest leg of the journey, through most of Minnesota, South Dakota and North Dakota, on up into northeastern Montana, with an overnight at Mobridge, SD, a little town on the banks of the Missouri River, next to a bridge. Mobridge...MO (Missouri) River Bridge...MO Bridge...get it?

Relic in Reserve, MTEast is east, and mid-west is mid-west, but everywhere you go you'll find old equipment put out to pasture.

I left the mid-west, heading west. Before arriving at the far-west, I had to cross the great divide.Near the Continental Divide

The Grand Coulee DamThen it was on, through the not-so-great Plains, past the Grand Coulee, which is actually pretty hot, before crossing the Cascades and arriving, finally, at the farthest of the far west.

On the beach, Olympic Penninsula, WA

It was a long way for an old hatchback to travel. Good thing it is a Magic Hatchback after all.
